Loddon Valley Irrigation Area

Goulburn-Murray Water is warning the public to avoid contact with water within the Loddon Valley irrigation customers east of the Loddon River after monitoring detected high levels of blue-green algae.

A map of the effected area is available to download.

Wherever possible alternate water supplies should be used.
Untreated water should never be used for human consumption. 
Boiling the affected water will not make it safe to use.
People should avoid contact with the water.
Stock and pets should be kept away.
Water can be used on gardens, although should not be sprayed on vegetables and fruit.
Stock should be kept away from recently irrigated areas for at least 7 days.

Please note - this warning not does apply to East Loddon Pipleine customers.

 

Central Goulburn Irrigation Area

Goulburn-Murray Water is warning the public to avoid contact with water within the Central Goulburn No.7, 8 and 9 channel systems after monitoring detected high levels of blue-green algae.

A map of the effected area is available to download.

This warning includes customers with service point numbers (outlets) starting with ‘TN’ and those numbered RN2000 and higher.
